Karen Kennedy, MD, DABFM

Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Karen M. Kennedy is a board-certified physician with over 25 years of experience in clinical care and health care leadership. First and foremost, she is a patient advocate dedicated to helping people become motivated, educated and proactive about optimizing their physical, spiritual and mental health. She has also served as an attending preceptor with Michigan State University teaching residents and medical students as well as nurse practitioner and physician assistant students.

 

A graduate of the Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, NY, Dr. Kennedy completed Family Medicine residency training at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Family Medicine in New Jersey. Dr. Kennedy held the position of Associate Program Director of the Brooklyn Hospital Family Medicine program in New York and thereafter transitioned to the Trinity Health Medical Group in West MI serving as Community Benefit Ministry Medical Director to oversee numerous forms of outpatient care.

 

She has received honorable recognition as a Top Doctor in Grand Rapids Magazine in part due to her dedication to leadership, healthy living, multifaceted approach to patient care and community involvement.
